Have You Ever Wanted To Understand a Spread Running Offense? Fishduck Has You Covered

I’m shocked that I haven’t linked to these guys before, but FishDuck is one of the truly great websites for helping a casual fan learn about college football strategy. Focusing on Chip Kelly’s offense at Oregon, but an interesting watch for any team running a spread running attack (for example, many of the concepts employed by Oregon are rooted in RichRod’s Clemson and West Virginia offenses), FishDuck shows game film and systematically explains what’s going on after Oregon holds up one of its crazy play call placards.

To get the most out of the site, I recommend starting with their spread offense tutorial videos, because later videos build off the concepts explained there. It’s a fun watch and after you understand Oregon’s base offensive plays, the wrinkles added in later games profiled by FishDuck are even more impressive.
